Helping connect rural Indiana to the 21st century data driven economy, our friends from the Battery Innovation Center (BIC) located near Crane Indiana and Tesla in Indianapolis will join us to open the event. Ben Wrightsman, CEO of the BIC will be our featured speaker and will showcase the high tech, specialized batteries they develop and test. George Clark with Tesla will have two of their incredible all electric vehicles on display for you to get up close and personal with. If you have never sat in a Tesla and experienced the incredible attention to detail I highly recommend it!
So how do high tech industries and the data economy affect rural Indiana? Bryan Rushton with LHP Engineering will help connect the dots. LHP works with many automotive, aerospace and defense clients. Recently they announced an Autonomous Electric Vehicle 8-week Bootcamp!
Samantha Nelson from Purdue@Westgate will be on hand to give a brief presentation about the remarkable things happening less than an hour away from Sullivan.
And if that’s not enough we will have several amazing startup pitches from regional entrepreneurs some of whom are already generating significant income and others who may become the next big company.
Local startup Petty Pitstop and founder Jen Petty will be providing a great blend of specialty food and drinks for every taste bud.
Innovate Sullivan is the beginning of a long-awaited initiative coming to fruition through the forward thinking vision of local leaders, innovators and government bodies to create an entrepreneur led public - private partnership for true 21st century community innovation.
