County Seat: Sullivan
Sullivan County offers land, water, mineral and forestry resources and existing structures and transportation routes that are available for developing new business, in a quiet setting of lakes, farms and small communities. Affordable housing, a low crime rate, good schools and great outdoor recreation highlight life in Sullivan County. The county is the home of the Wabash Valley Correctional Facility, the Merom Power Station and several large coal mines and conservation projects. Other industry includes machine and welding shops, chemical processing and bulk plants, plastic product and manufacturing plants and several saw mills.
