VERMILLION COUNTY, Ind. - A new shell building in Vermillion Rise Mega Park is expected to boost Vermillion County's current unemployment numbers.
These latest numbers from the state show Vermillion's unemployment rate is 5.6%; the highest of all Hoosier counties, and well above the state average.
But local leaders believe buildings like the one showcased today will change that.

Construction crews started saw cutting this morning in Downtown Sullivan. Demolition and removal of current sidewalks will begin next week. This project is the beginning of the Downtown Revitalization Plan which was funded with a $500,000 grant by the Office of Community and Rural Affairs. The City of Sullivan would like to THANK the Sullivan County Redevelopment Commission for assisting with matching grant funds. We also encourage motorists to use caution and drive slow in these particular areas.
